Singapore based Gushcloud, which focuses in “influencer marketing”, has announced its newly launched Gush Media, an online marketplace for influencers. Gush Media has been launched in partnership with Newcast, the specialist branded content and experience division of ZenithOptimedia Singapore.
According to an official release, Gush Media is the first online marketplace for influencers in Southeast Asia. It allows content planners and brands to cherry-pick from thousands of influencers in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia and include them in any marketing campaign.
These influencers are key opinion leaders on social media, and include bloggers, social media influencers, YouTube artistes and celebrities. These influencers are mainly in the “Lifestyle”, “Fashion” and “Food” category, however, there are up to over 20 categories, including “mummy bloggers”, “expats” and “tech”.
Brands can engage any number of influencers on Gush Media. Pricing model is per campaign basis and it also depends on the influencers reach and “celebrity” status. Vincent Ha, CEO and Co-founder at Gushcloud told e27 that a typical campaign engagement utilizes the influencers’ strongest and most appropriate social media channels where content is created to promote a brand’s message to a target audience. Final prices are determined based on the complexity and duration of each campaign.
The partnership brings together two companies with a shared vision of championing influencer marketing and developing integrated social marketing solutions. As launch partner, Newcast will have priority access to the most comprehensive directory of influencers in the region and will jointly develop new features on the platform.
Jason Tan, Director at Newcast Singapore, said, “Newcast believes strongly in the power of influencer activation and Gush Media is the missing link in the content marketing ecosystem. With this turn-key solution, influencer marketing can play an even more important role for major clients. We look forward to driving the growth of influencer marketing with Gushcloud as Gush Media grows in its capabilities.”
When asked about performance tracking, Vincent Ha shared that performance tracking is a fairly new area in influencer marketing and they are currently working with clients to track specific metrics on a case-by-case basis, including engagement and conversion rates, which in turn determines the success of each campaign.
In the next few months, Gushcloud will progressively roll out new features on Gush Media and will work with Newcast to refine its offerings to the industry.
